I love helping people connect and figure out that they can be a part of the solution. Over the years, Big Serve Weekend has helped hundreds of volunteers see needs in town and the nonprofits who are making differences in our community every day. Big Serve reminds us that together we ARE New Braunfels.

I love our little community of NB, and I love serving in Missions. Prior to my current job, I’ve worked in churches in various capacities, including Missions. I’m thankful to get to serve in Church Relations with Big Serve, and to represent our church (that I love being a part of!), Hope Presbyterian NB, as we seek to serve, bless, and improve the community of New Braunfels.

I have a passion for all the local churches to come together as The Church in our community to serve those in need and share the love of Jesus. So that The Church would influence our community with a biblical worldview. New Braunfels has been my home for over 45 years. My wife Roxann of 40 years and I have raised 3 children here and now get to watch 2 of 3 granddaughters grow up here. I’m excited to be part of Serve Spot and the Big Serve weekend.

I have worked in a volunteer capacity for over 17 years primarily in children and youth ministries. I firmly believe families and children can make a tangible impact right where they live together by serving the community in partnership with their local church and/or non profits. Being a part of BIG Serve has given me the opportunity to partner with local churches, build stronger faith connections and serve within the city I live in. my mantra for change is simply small ripples make huge waves.”

I have a passion for serving my community! I am happy to finally have more free to time to help out with this great service project. I am also excited to be able to help so many amazing nonprofits in our community.

Comal County is one of the most magical places on earth, which is why we’re growing so fast! I am passionate about this area being a wonderful and fulfilling place to live for all residents. Throughout the years, I’ve found my calling with non-profit resources and have served in outreach, marketing, communications, and development positions. Being part of Big Serve Weekend is a way for me to remember how BIG we all are when we work together as a group!

My nonprofit does a big serve type outreach every month ages 3-99. We believe we were made to serve others and are so thankful to get to do that.
Big serve community wide volunteer weekend is a life direction to help put our citizens on the path of service and love with one another.

Seeing churches come together is so inspiring to me! It’s a real honor to be able to communicate that idea visually and give Big Serve the artistic wow factor it deserves. Let’s GO!!

Nate and Brandi have lived in the central Texas area for over a decade. Meeting at Texas Lutheran University, they shared a love and dedication to getting to know their community and serving those in it. They have enjoyed being a part of Peace Lutheran Church, Rotary, New Braunfels Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, & Family Promise. They look forward to connecting and bringing awareness to other church congregations on ways they can get involved not just with the Big Serve event, but recognizing that ServeSpot is a resource to be utilized year-round.

Six years ago I said yes to volunteering at a children’s shelter. What I experienced changed my life, and I discovered a passion and a calling advocating for youth within the foster care system. I am beyond excited for Big Serve Weekend 2022 because I know that an hour of your time can change your life and, in turn, a community. Passion spreads, and it’s time to start a fire! Let’s do this, New Braunfels!
