Description:

WORK: Gardening

Join us for a morning of work in our Native Prairie Restoration!

Wear closed toed shoes, dress for the weather, and BYO work gloves.

Headwaters at the Comal is a 16 acre property near downtown New Braunfels containing the very beginning of the Comal River. We are in the process of rehabilitating this former industrial site into a native landscape that will increase the water quality of the river and also provide demonstration and education space for the community to learn more about native plants, wildlife, and conservation. During this Maintenance morning, volunteers will be helping in our native prairie landscape with planting, seeding, and transplanting native plants as well as removing invasive plants. Volunteers may also help with path maintenance and other activities around the site.
