Description:

Communities In Schools mentoring initiative is geared to build a one-to-one relationship between an adult and a child. The relationship takes place within the school day and on CIS-served campuses. Mentors positively intervene and offer friendship with a purpose through a minimum weekly 30-minute visit.

BECOMING A MENTOR... We ask for a minimum commitment of 30 minutes once a week. Complete an application, provide 1 personal reference and 2 professional references, and pass a criminal background check. You will receive training and support to make your mentoring relationship successful for you and the child you mentor.
