Description:

Donations can be dropped off at McKenna for this and other projects anytime Saturday 10/8 9am-2pm and Sunday 10/9 9am-1pm. Projects at McKenna will also have other activities, such as encouragement cards for some of our local heroes.

Light Work 316, Inc. delivers welcome boxes to each of our incoming families and also creates and delivers “Family Light Boxes” each month during a child or parent’s battle. These boxes include family crafts, small toys, movie nights, fun activities, tickets to local attractions, fun decals, restaurant gift cards, gas or food cards, etc.

Current needs include:

Slippers/crazy socks (kid or adult)
Fuzzy/soft blankets (kid or adult)
Zip up bags/backpacks/overnight bags
Fidgets/quiet toys

Assistance with this project would be gratefully accepted and would help us shine a light of hope (and fun) for our sweet families!! We always include siblings and try to include an encouraging bookmark, sticker, & printout for mom and dad as well.

We also continually gift copies of More Than All The Stars That Glow and If We Were Butterflies to not only our families but to children out and about that we feel led to gift one too. Those books can be sponsored at a reduced price of $4.50 at our author discount from the publisher.
